How to clean a Louis Vuitton bag?

I have an authentic Palermo GM bag from Louis Vuitton, and the straps look a bit dirty. I was wondering what material the straps are made of (it doesn't appear to be leather, but I'm not sure) and how I can clean them?|||You can clean it with a hand cream..put a little bit on a cotton ball and wipe the straps..It actually worked on my Louis volition bag :-)
